Some Nintendo plans for E3:

Iwata mentioned three products that will feature in Nintendo's E3 show plans. Two of the products shouldn't come as a surprise. Nintendo will be showing Super Mario Galaxy 2 and the new Wii Zelda game, Iwata confirmed. In what capacity? He did not say. The other product will probably be a bit more controversial. Remember the Vitality Sensor peripheral that Nintendo unveiled at last year's show? We'll at long last get a glimpse at software for the device. This year's E3 will be held from June 15 through June 17. Of course, we can probably expect additional product outside of Mario Galaxy, Zelda and the Vitality Sensor, but don't be surprised if these three are among Nintendo's top focuses.

Have you not played Metroid or Super Metroid? Both were amazing games and third person, and IMO the series needed a change. BTW this game will be third person AND first person.

Yes I do, because think of it, if you put any of the Halo games into 3rd person it would completely suck, same thing with metroid, the series has become known as one of the best FPS's of our time and if you put that into 3rd person it wouldn't be good. Thats just my opinion though.

But there WILL be first person parts in the game...

And zelda was meant to be an adventure game not an FPS so yeah it was pretty cool.

That kinda makes me wanna play the game less. not only is it in 3rd person but its in 3rd person 2D, it doesn't even look like its good 2D what I mean by that is that it looks like an NES 2D game. and the graphics are HORRID, they look worse than the GameCube and the wii is supposed to have twice the power of it? WHAT? this game just looks all around terrible

I lol'd. The 2D games were some of the BEST in the Metroid franchise. And bad graphics? We must have been watching different videos... The cutscenes and action sequences are flawless.

Neder so since it was good in a first person it will suck if its third person. Or is it that you just don't like that style. A game that is good in a certain genre doesn't mean it will suck if the designers chose to transition to another genre. (ex: mario kart) The game did very well at first person. Maybe in third person it will be better or the same? Just because a IP is changing genre doesn't mean that it will affect the overall quality of the game. Your comments on graphics were........stupid? I bet this happened to alot of people when they heard that metroid was coming to first person. lol

I completely agree, people were the same way when Metroid changed to FPS. I wouldn't judge a game without playing it first. It just may be better than the Prime series.

lol neder just cause a game isn't FP doesn't mean it sucks lol. And who cares about graphics? Really? Graphics aern't all of what makes a game. As long as it looks good it looks fine to me.

Well IDK, about the FPS thing, but it does not look good to me. and the graphics look bad enough where it will get in the way of the gameplay, I don't care how good the graphics are as long as I can play it and see what I'm doing, the graphics for Metroid Other M look atrocious enough where you won't be able to play the game and see what you're doing. but thats just my opinion.

Graphics are important because thats what see around you. It's like saying if twilight princess had bad graphics no one would like it as much as if it did have good graphics. And plus wii is not HD so, graphics are pretty important for the underpowered wii.

It may not be HD but there have been some pretty games released for the wii (mainly fairly new titles) like New Super Mario Bros. and The new Galaxy looks amazing, but I think if the TP graphics were werse than bad then no one would have played it cause the graphics do get in the way of gameplay if they are bad enough. and the wii isn't really underpowered its power is just underused, cause the wii is capable of so much more than people are using it. It seems to me that Nintendo are the only ones that know how to put good graphics on the wii because, every Nintendo game put out on the wii looks pretty good, and every other game thats put out looks ok except for High Voltage, The Conduit doesn't have good graphics, High Voltage tried way to hard and failed miserably at trying to get good graphics into the Conduit.

Graphics are important but do not play a big factor when it comes to the overall quality of the game. Nintendo was thinking that true fans of the game would not care if it was not HD. They cared for gaming not looks.

yeh but you have to realize if there is a good game with good controls and good gameplay but the graphics sucked...... would you play it now?

I'm not saying that wii's graphics suck I'm trying to say that GRAPHICS are very important in a game and will always be for a long time to come.

What happened to people liking a game for it's gameplay/mechanics, story, and multiplayer. Graphics are at the bottom of the list for me when it comes to choosing a game.
