A portable NES with 76 games? You shouldn't have!

Oh dear reader, this gift of yours was completely unnecessarily, but appreciated all the same! How did you know that we wanted a Nintendo-on-a-chip handheld with 76 games built around a Super Joy III KIRF TV game with a 2.5-inch display? And how did you ever get the dude who made it (Ben Heck forum member Brian Hender) to part with it? No, you're right, it's rude of us to ask. We're just happy you did it.[Via Engadget]

Stay put for this Rabbids Go Home trailer

Those crazy bunnies are at it again, this time heading out on their very first solo mission. This new trailer -- created specifically for E3 -- shows how calm life was for humanity until the Rabbids came along and, well, started taking all of our stuff. They need it, you see, so that they can build a pile of junk straight to the moon in their new game, Rabbids Go Home.Honestly, there are plenty of reasons to watch this, but, in all honesty, you just haven't lived until you've seen four Rabbids running around carrying a cop car.

Stand at attention for this No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle trailer

Coming one day in advance of the announced May 30 reveal date, a new trailer for No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle has just captured the hell out of our attention. Yes, that is a random shot of a luchador as a backdrop for Suda 51's credit -- why not.If you wanted to see more of the dual-sword moves shown in the Famitsu scans, well, here you go -- this video is loaded with shots of an older-looking Travis Touchdown swinging two Beam Katanas around. It also introduces the new assassin Nathan Copeland, who starts his fight with Travis by throwing ladies at him. Even with that weirdness, the tone of this trailer is much more serious than before -- though it ends in a very No More Heroes way.If that's not enough for you, check Famitsu for new screens![Thanks, Mr Khan!]

See the first (French) trailer for Lego Rock Band

We're not sure if we were intended to see the first trailer for LEGO Rock Band in French, but it certainly adds something to the surreality of the whole experience. Take a trip into the utterly bizarre right here. Also, we know a lot of you rolled your eyes when you first heard about this game, and, who knows, maybe it still will be a total cash-in. But if your heart doesn't melt a bit when you see that stupid curve of a hand cranking up the volume knob, then you're made of stone. Stone.[Thanks, TeJay G!]Read | Permalink | Email this | Comments

Tatsunoko vs. Capcom roster may change for North American release

GameSpot's preview for Tatsunoko vs. Capcom: Ultimate All-Stars contains some rather troubling news about the localized version of Eighting's cross-company fighter. According to the site, "talks are ongoing," but Capcom may not have been able to secure all the rights to the Tatsunoko characters. As a result, there "may be some minor pruning done to the Tatsunoko side of the roster."It's not all bad, though: GameSpot said that Capcom is working to keep the roster balanced for the updated version, "so any pruning done will require some addition to keep things balanced." Maybe Capcom can grab 3D models of random Capcom characters and stick the missing Tatsunoko characters' movesets in. Or maybe whoever the last holdout is on the Tatsunoko side will realize that there's really not anything else going on in North America with these characters.Read | Permalink | Email this | Comments

USA Today: Jay-Z/Eminem limited edition DJ Hero pack coming

According to a USA Today article, Activision has turned to Jay-Z and Eminem to provide some added value to a special edition release of DJ Hero. In addition to the game, the bundle reportedly includes greatest-hits CDs from both rappers, possibly with new tracks; an "advanced version of the controller;" a DJ stand and a metal traveling case. The two musicians will serve as "consultants" to Activision, and will, of course, contribute tracks to the game. Another collaborator, DJ Shadow, put four screenshots of DJ Hero up on his website that finally show some gameplay. It appears to be very similar to Guitar Hero, except sometimes the note line moves a bit, which we believe indicates switching tracks on the crossfader.[Via NeoGAF]Read | Permalink | Email this | Comments

June's GameOn! expo lets public try Capcom's latest

It's a real shame that E3 is an industry-only event, keeping all the hot, new games out of the hands of the general public. The only way you, the gaming masses, will get an early romp with these highly-anticipated titles is if you hop on a plane to England and grab tickets to London's GameOn! event. On June 20 and 21 at the London Olympia, British gamers will get to go hands-on with upcoming titles from the following companies: Sony, Nintendo, Capcom and possibly more. Specifically, Capcom (via Edge-Online) has a detailed list of what it's showing, and it certainly is a line-up strong enough to make its E3 showcase blush. Check out the list after the break. First footage of DJ Hero revealed, revealing

Good news! GameTrailers just saved us a trip to LA by going ahead and having its own E3 tonight. Case in point: here's the first footage of DJ Hero, which reveals a much more ... seemingly strip-club-oriented game than we expected. Maybe it's just for the purposes of this trailer, but is every DJ avatar going to be a scantily-clad woman (or DJ Shadow)? Will go-go dancers figure significantly into the gameplay? The trailer also features one of the game's vaunted mashups, a pastiche of Gwen Stefani's "Hollaback Girl" with Rick James's "Give It to Me Baby." It's ... the least annoying that "Hollaback Girl" has ever been, we'll say that much. The trailer is after the break.
