hey guys, just another suggestion, in many forums i saw if you made a thread u are granted powers to clean it up of spam or just swearing or just off topic ness that isn't in the off topic forum, the operator of the thread will just have the power to delete posts and change the title of the thread and the main body (first post)

yes i think that is a very good idea to give mod powers to the creator of a thread. of course, the mod ability would only work with your threads.

Hey Guys, just because you start a thread doesn't mean it's yours. This is a community and as such we have rules in place. Just because you don't think a comment is useful doesn't mean others won't. Or they don't deserve the right to be heard. If someone posts something that does break the rules or really doesn't belong there we are getting mods and procedures in place to help that out. We're working hard to get that stuff going.

arvin, you've brought issues i never thought about to my attention...thanks for that, and now i dont think that a thread author needs control over it, i think mods can have that under control.
