what's zune

it is a type of Ipod thing except that a diffrent company creates these things insted of apple.

i don't know why their are other companies making different types of mp3s when apple is dominating everything

Zune is made by Microsoft, even though Apple is dominating, Microsoft does there best to make something better. I've heard mixed opinions about which is better or not, but the Zune is putting up a good fight.

I don't own a Zune myself, so I don't know how to hack one...or anything for that matter. :p

but if an ipod is copy righted by apple wouldn't that make it a microsoft mp3 player

Arnt they making Mp3 players that are not even known to the genral public. I saw those useless Mp3 players at fryes and I sware I never seen any of them anywhere else.

HOLY CRAP! This is so weird, i got a 30 gig black, and now I know how to hack it P.S. carlos, u can hack it. Here are the instructions-

**USE AT YOUR OWN RISK**(It worked out fine for me though....

1.Make sure that your zune is updated (3.0!)

2.Download C# 2008 @ http://www.microsoft.com/express/vcsharp/Default.aspx

3.Install it

4.Alright, now download XNA game studio 3.0 from here-http://download.microsoft.com/download/0/e/b/0eb024c0-0f80-4759-8189-6ca687445e77/XNAGS30_setup.exe

5.Open C# 2008

6.Now, right click next to the bar UNDER File, edit, ect. Select XNA Device Manager

7.Click 'add new device'

8.Click zune

9.Connect your Zune

Cool beans Almost done!!

10.Download this program-(it is pacman--example game)http://www.zuneboards.com/forums/download-completed-games/31892-beta-arcade-classics-v2-xna-3-0-beta.html
11.Unzip it

12.Now, click file>open>unziped folder (whereever you unziped it)>get it so that you have both the folder and the actual file highlighted and open them.

13.Click it so it is highlighted after it imports it.

14.Go to build>deploy X game

Now ur done. Comment if i need to fix something.

oh okay. but how do you get games on your ipod (everybody knows that)

I have a Zune and its EPIC!!! If you compare a Zune to a Ipod youll find that A Zune has more memory, a bigger screen, a better operating system (thats opinion based), has wireless which is very useful, games that are much more fun than Ipod's games (The Zune comes with Games but some people find even BETTER games and add them by hacking) and radio which is free. All of those things put together makes the Microsoft's Zune.

(Did I mention that Zunes cost less than Ipod's and can take much more of a beating than an Ipod?)

I rest my case.

I have none. I just use my psp or my computer. But I am thinking of getting one this Christmas.
