That would be great. I think it would be a big money maker if Nintendo offerd voice chat in other games also.
voice chat would be great and they might even be able to use the mic for gameplay
I dont see why nintendo hasnt already added voice chat. They did for the DS. The hardest part for high voltage will be getting it past nintendo. I guess Nintendo thinks it will go against their policy having of a "family" console.
The Wii Remote contains an audio translator chip. This has been verified by CNN Money.
I am not sure if there is a dedicated built in microphone or if the speaker is a combo unit with a mic, but more likely it would be a plug in.
That would be awesome if a headset wasn't needed, and you just talked and the wiimote picked it up. and that article was pretty cool showing how cheap everything inside was.
It would really be nice if Nintendo allowed you to connect any currently avaliable cell phone bluetooth headset for voice chat. That would be really cool.
if they get online voice chat for the conduit i am buying the game 6 times.
same here
If they do, I'll buy it 7 times!!!
if they use it for multiple games nintendo should just make one and allow it to connect directly to wii
what about usb vid cams?
How cool would vid chat be for the wii.
It would be difficult, and really not worth it in the long run...
but cool!
For those of you buying 6 and 7 copies please send one to me. :)
yeah. I was just kidding. :)
I know, but if you do get crazy sent me a copy.
no problem. if I do get crazy and get rich, then I will. ;)
In response to spiderpig saying voice chat isn't family enough....The Conduit is rated M. No family member is gonna buy this for their 8 year old son for their birthday. This game is for the hardcore (a.k.a. those of us who have been holding out hope for the Wii since Nintendo keeps crapping out on us).
crap it comes with an M game...
i can't play m...
Dodo_JZ, good point. I dont think voice chat will come anytime soon because Nintendo is playing it safe just like they did with the premade instant messaging for games like Mariokart and SSBB. I think that the best chance of voice chat would be getting it with The Conduit.
Hey DODO JZ I know an 8 year old who has plenty M rated games and can kick my butt at Halo
lol that's funny

That wasn't the point. I used to play Mortal Kombat when I was 10, so I would know. The point I was trying to prove was that this game isn't family orientated, so Nintendo can't use that excuse anymore. Plus the game is 2rd party unlike MK Wii and SSBB, so High Voltage can choose what they want to do.
Personally, I would spend 10$ more on the game if it included a headset of sorts, so I could use voice chat.
I would too
yeah, if nintendo takes advantage of the free wifi they have, and if they made it really good, then they could try to compete. (keyword try)
I don't think nintendo gives crap about their online game play. They're probably sticking with innovation and family values instead of a good online support w/ voice chat. In a few more years I think with a new system they will have a greater online support like an xbox live. So pray for good online support in the future
good. they might start a wifi revolution (pun intended) for nintendo.
