its like nintendo wants all the money, and if anyone tries to make a nunchuk, it has to be a totally different design. i dont see the big deal either.
I think this is the dumbest thing Nintendo has ever done, how can Nyco make a wireless chuck without the chuck??? Then they wouldn't have anything because they already got rid of the cord, I don't think a wireless wire would be that much fun.... ....at ALL!!!!!
I think Nintendo's is over reacting. What else would Nyko do for something that is meant to imitate their product, but with ideas they might not have time to make. Also, they could be mad because they were making one but a third party beat them.
I've got to watch out for a law suit, my three year old brother was playing with Play-Duh & the glob he made looks kinda like a Nun-chuck!!!!! What should I do? Does anyone know a good lawyer?
This makes me think that Nintendo has plans to release thier own wireless chuck and want to keep control on thier products. I read a review that the wireless chuck has a slight delay that is noticable in some games. Nintendo most likely already knows this from thier R&D and does not want to field complaints that come up from a 3rd party controller that affects gameplay.
Also, Nintendo put a lot of money into R&D to come up with the controller in the first place. All Nyco did was copy the original remove the wire add a battery and a wireless transmitter. Bottom line without Nintendo licensing the chuck it is infringment. This is just Nintendo protecting what is rightfully thiers.
I personally hate when people take an idea, barely change it, and sell it again. (example: The Voyager phone copying the menu etc. of the iPhone) My first thought was that Nintendo was secretly making their own wireless nunchuck and they didn't want it spoiled.
You all may think this is dumb what nintendo sueing nyco over think again. The Virtual boy is the dumbest thing nintendo did.
i don't see the big deal...
