    Nintendo giving the Wii a price CUT!

    Saw this today suprisingly the new price is 199.99 starting
    Sunday,September 27. Great idea nintendo

    We've seen ads promoting the Wii's heretofore unconfirmed new $199 price point from Target and Toys R Us -- however, Engadget recently got its hands on the crown jewel of retailer news leakage: A purported internal Best Buy memo which confirms the discount will go into effect this coming Sunday, September 27. The memo requests that blue-shirted employees keep the cut under wraps until Nintendo formally announces the new price this coming Friday. You guys are doing a great job of that so far.     They have also said that europe won't be getting the price cut but instead it will include wii sports resorts and a wii motion plus. Heres a pic of the box.

    There still probably not going to get hardly any more sales because 50 mil + people already have one and that means that... well I guess it could sell more because the ps2 has sold a 100 million units

    Speaking of which does anyone know what the numbers are up to for all the console sales? if so please post here

    The PS3 had (don't quote me on this although im pretty sure its right) a 300% increase in sales.

    That would not surprise me at all because now its the same price as a 360 and the 360 has sold a fair amount in its 4 or 5 year time but its rumored that the 360 is going away next year and the xbox 3 is coming out (don't ask me why its called xbox 3 cause I don't know)

    UMMMMMMMMMM brawler they made GTA for the ds and some other games that aren't kiddy like a horror murder type mistery game and others. but i do agree the audience that has the most of the ds's are/is kids and teenagers

    hell yeh man my mom has a home daycare so 50 percent of those snotty kids have a DS. Also when I;m in the mall there are a bunch of chinese people with DS's. (I just had to say that)(I didnt mean to offend anyone)

    Where do you live brawler? in china? cause i live in california and the only chineese people i see running around is at disneyland and none of them have ds's but i whenever i go to target there are always a few kids playing there ds (very few people or at least i've seen have a dsi)

    I live in New York and I'm not saying there are lots of asian people I'm trying to say if I see one they always have a DS with them.

    this price drop garentees the 4 peopel who don't own a wii gets 1

    4 peopel were playing their DS at lunch yesterday lol
