I was on another site earlier and hey were talking about the online games and fuctionality on the wii. The wii is one of the console that is so hard to deal with online. you have to register a person a wii friend then u have to get their freind codes for certain games. To me thats a waste of time. But Nintendo id growing there working on a mic Peripheral and i think that soon they will stop all the friend codes and just do something more like xbox livefor free :). so i was just wondering you guys stand on that. And it would be great Arvin and Ben if u guys talked about it on the next episode of the podcast.
Wii online

Funny you say that scott, because that is exactly what you can do on mario kart wii.
Made it much easier for me to add my friends from school on it because we all have each others wiis registered
I can live with a single number, but one for the Wii AND all online games is gets old really fast.
But lets pretend we completely forget the code? (granted, I haven't played Mario Kart Wii yet) The online still really sucks. This has to be the main reason that I'm really itchin for a 360 right now. even if my friends had Wii's, which they don't, I cannot stand the Wii's online. Brawl was an eye-opener for a whole lot of people. No settings, no modes, no voice chat, no chat of any kind. Its really a disgrace, I wish they would treat online gaming for what its worth.
i want a 360 too. a ps3 doesn't have as good as online as a 360
The 360 has the best internet play of all three. I have not experienced that much lag or any other problems
With the wii, i watch my brother sit for a half an hour trying to get in a game online. Once it did connect he got one game then had to wait again
id say the best online game out now (not including Mario Kart) is Medal of Honor heroes 2
because, simply, it runs on ea's online engine and not nintendo wi-fi
ya in the wii i cant play online with brawl half the time, not to mention the fact that everything happens about a second later than you push the button. THat gets really frustrating. in halo 3 you can ajust the kind of game you want to play down to the fine points, and it is fast, but the nice thing is that the controls feel just as responsive as they do during single player.

I can deal with the Wii Number, but why have a friend code for each game. Why can't that just be linked by the Wii#. And if you add a FC to a game (ie SSBB) the other party must register your #, why not just send an invite saying Scott sent you an invite to be a friend on SSBB.
