Ok, after applying the new Wii Menu Update tonight, I was wondering two things.

  • Was there always a little disc that moved from the left hand side of the screen and stuck itself in the top left menu item?
  • There was discussion elsewhere in the forum that discussed memory and how the SD Card could not be used for updates to Game Code, and yet that's what Nintendo said this Menu Update would do.
  • Anyone have any info on these?

So does anyone actually know what this update did? It mentioned that if there is an update for a game it will now let you know, but has anyone been able to update a game?

SSBB had an auto update window in order to launch the game if that helps, as did MP3:C

    Cheers :)

it was only the disc channel scripting that was changed. nothing major

this is right from nintendo's website concerning the last update. truly, nothing noticeable:
