Is it possible to save screenshots to an SD card, then stick the SD card in a computer and get the shot onto the compy?

Yes it is possible, but you need to convert the image first. I'll be doing a Wii Teach you on how to do it sometime soon.

can you do the same with video, because my console only holds like 3 minutes (or in other words not NEARLY enough!)

Mjr. All of the systems can only hold a max of 3 minutes. They put that cap there so that you wouldn't accidentally override you Wii temporary memory with the replay, because it's too big. As for recording longer plays, your best bet is a DVD recorder to do a very smooth job of recording direct.
