I don't own either of them, but I have played both of them and I think GH is better (P.S. isin't RB a copy of GH or vice versa).

The first 3 or 4 GH games were definately better than RB, but now, I think that Neversoft is too busy trying to be Rock Band in every way, instead of worrying about the quality of their games.

guitar hero is not copying rock band rock band is copying guitar hero in every way (yes even instruments)

heres the story

it was activisions original plan to do the drums and mic and bass as their huge guitar hero 3 project but then they didn't get it out in time and harmonix ran with the idea and made the first drums mic and bass

The thing that ticks me off is that Harmonix did GH 1 and 2 but then they went and made RB.

well stuff like that happens a lot like right before ensemble studios closed 3 people went to go make a new company. but why does harmonix tick you off i mean the game is as good and better than it always was

Guitar hero in my opinion is better than RB but you are right about the easy for people becuase of the notes on the bottom thing.

what do you mean on the bottom thing. i was talking about how much easier because sometimes there aren't triples where there need to be. but the solos are harder if they have a lot of pull offs and hammerons because it doesn't reconise that you're hitting it

i've always liked GH better, but one good thing about Rock Band is how much dlc they have. They are always coming out with more! And also, they are making stuff like the Beatles, and they are even coming out with LEGO Rock Band!

that would be cool but they probably won't do it. the dlc thing is so true iv been waiting for the who to be on guitar hero for a while the only song guitar hero has is the seeker and its okay but not as good as baba o riley or who are you.

I agree with Bleu, RB is really doing some great some things with the franchise, and LEGO Rock Band sounds interesting too. Here are the confirmed songs:

It is very easy. The reason why RockBand 2 is better than Guitar Hero World Tour is the track list. Nothing else is as important.

I agree with ben there, the track list is pretty nice

On the lego RB thing idk just...why? I mean there's no point except for money. idk I guess it looks kinda cool, just pointless and shovel wareish.

the point of a lego rock band according to game pro they made it for kids (clean lyrics and easier than rock band already is)

I was HUGE on the GH bandwagon when all of the information was released. I was excited about:
1.Drums with Cymbals (FREAKING AWESOME)
2.Music creation (quality is eh, a bit complicated to make with a guitar controller)
3.Character Customization (I don't have a favorite on this one)

As for the RB vs GH, I prefer Rock Band Game, but with the Guitar Hero Controllers.
For Rock Band:
1. Career is better, not linear
2. Better setlist
3. DLC owns
4. Even though its easier, that doesn't mean all songs are easy, some are a pain
5. Group Multiplier
6. Song Endings (which, are a pretty awesome way to rack up points)

Against Rock Band:
1. Hammer-ons suck
2. still easier in general
3. sometimes "random setlist" will pick the same songs (not in the same set list, but in different ones)
4. Spongebob? Seriously? (this isn't a big complaint, but come on!)
5. Brick shaped notes (idk, it just annoys me)
6. I HATE THE ROCK BAND CONTROLLERS

For GH:
1. Slider Bar (ehh, but its a plus)
2. Drums utilize the cymbals
3. you can unlock the songs quickly
4. difficulty= harder
5. Music Creator (i didn't like it, but some of the stuff other people make is pretty awesome, quality isn't very good)
6. Guitar Hero Controllers are AMAZING

Against GH:
1. BLAND Career
2. Presentation (the rock bar in small, and in the corner, ect.)
3. Music Creator was somewhat of a letdown
4. DLC=Bad
5. Pretty much impossible to use star power on drums (your constantly hitting it, so when do you have the time to hit both cymbals?)

Sorry for rambling, but I just felt i need to say that. Overall, both games are good. But, with a MUCH MUCH better career mode, and WAY better DLC, Rock Band takes the Cake (I have both RB2 and GHWT).
