    If you install the homebrew channel and get the Mplayer app, or install a modchip then yes, but out of the box, no.

    yeah it only works with homebrew but it kindve makes no sense if u have a dvd already...................*cough ps3 cough*

    it is possible, however unlikely, that nintendo could release a app via the shop channel for 2000 or 3000 points which would allow people to watch dvd's legally without fear of blocking their wiis

    perhaps the wii2 will have a DVD player, and more details for the miis!

    yeah i dont really care too much if it will have a dvd player cause i already have one, but it would still be a good idea to go ahead and add. about the miis, i think they should add more too most def
