who here goes airsofting? and if you do could you help me out, im thinking of starting airsofting could you give me a list of good cheap airsoft guns and what to wear when going airsofting. i've been playing with nerf guns since i was 6 and i still have all of my nerf guns but i want to step up a level. and i was thinking of going sometime next week at my school so you guys could give me a list of things to get for airsofting by next week (because im on spring break next week)

Get a paintball gun, airsoft guns dont do much except hurt people, Paintballs are soo fun.

im not looking for paint ball im looking for airsofting
i need to know what to get, pistol, rifle, sniper, or other starter guns but i still want to buy a couple of dsi games and the conduit and guitar hero greatest hits and guitar hero 4. meaning i don't want to spend a lot of money on an air soft gun so please someone tell me what i need for airsofting

ive never heard it called airsofting before...well we used to play airsoft when i was about 12 or 13, but i havent played in a while. i like paintball better. it doesnt matter what you wear (for airsoft)if you can tough it out. it doesnt hurt that bad. If you're new, get an acurate pistol or a fully-automatic gun. But I still recomend paintball instead. Much more fun, but also much more expensive.

yeah i went to sport chalet and saw a paint ball gun for $200. and i saw an airsoft gun for about $10-$40 and more but its pretty cheap. and thank you for giving me that advise.

If you're even going to spend money for some imaginary "gun" then don't complain about the price. Why do you need this thing so bad anyway?
P.S. Bleu I've been shot with a airsoft machine gun and it frikkin stung for a while

okay the first part didn't really make sense (please tell me what you meant) i don't need it bad i just want one to go airsofting with my friends on saturday.
p.s its not just the cost of paint balling its the fact that if i go to my school and paint ball there then i will get in trouble
p.ss im guessing that i should wear a long sleeved shirt or jacket or should i wear special airsofting armor.

OK, I play airsoft ALL THE TIME! (you wont "just go airsoft on Saturday" you will go airsoft on Saturday, get addicted, and want to airsoft every day for the rest of your life!!!
What to wear:
I live in Washington, where it is always rainy, which is the only reason why I keep a sweatshirt/army coat over my t-shirt. when its not raining, and cold like there's no tomorrow, I just wear a t-shirt and long pants (so I can kneel without getting all scraped up). Armour is TOTALLY NOT necessary.
What to buy:
I would recommend buying a gun from Airsplat.com or look for a gun on ShortyUSA.com but buy it on Airsplat.com because it is cheaper there. I don't know where you live or what the tempature is usually like, but. gas guns (what I have) dont work well if it is really raining, or under 45-50 degrees. the best gun to start out with (depending on what the other people your playing with are using) would be an AEG (automatic electric gun) if you get an AEG, get a smart charger with it! if you don't, your battery will slowly get worse and worse. I would also recommend buying .20 g. BB's, not .12. they will be much more accurate.

cheesy i don't want to buy it online i live by a sport chalet and where i live it is hot most of the time (southern california) and i don't own any pairs of pants (please no comments on that, i never get cold) so i will just wear a long sleeved shirt because i am not really worried about getting hurt because i don't get hurt that easily and my school is huge. and WHAT type of gun should i get

Try going to your local sport retailer. Chances are they will have them.

yeah i went to sport chalet and the guy helped me so i got a good gun that came with 2 magazines and a target thing. tomorrow i will let you guys know if you helped me or not
