Been checking Amazon.ca quite regularly and today at lunch-time I saw that Wii Fit finally became available for pre-order.

So, when I got home this evening from the office, I decided to place my order. Went to Amazon and what do I see? The order button was gone, replaced with a "notify me when available" button. And, in the best seller list, I see Wii Fit.

All the pre-orders sold out in an afternoon?! Wow! Looks as though Wii Fit will be as popular here as it is in the rest of the world. Good luck getting Wii Fit or an actual Wii console this summer.

They seem to be on their way (other games, that is).

I read yesterday that all indications seem to suggest that Raving Rabbids may be using the balance board in the next release. And doesn't that new game "We Ski" support input from the balance board?

Point is... there are games that will be making use of the balance board.

That'd be cool to use that more in other games. WeSki does use it, so that would be interesting.

For those in Canada looking to get WiiFit: (Sorry for you others, since I don't live anywhere but Canada, I haven't fully researched the rest)

Yes, pre-orders have made the WiiFit sold out. However! Best Buy, Futureshop and The Real Canadian Superstore will not be doing pre-orders, and will be on a first come, first serve basis on May 21st. However, they are only one per person. So you still have a chance of getting one, if you can get to a store for that morning.

You know, I really found myself wanting WiiFit recently, but I can't afford it right now! (I don't know why it's so expensive.)(Probably for the balance board)

The balance board weighs about 20 lbs. So it's not a junky piece of equipment. Looks like quality, and I don't mind paying if I receive quality.

Maybe if somebody read this they would see that there (probably) will be a new fitness game!

I would say it is $90 because they consider the game to be $50 and the board to be a controller similar to the wii remote so it is $40 for a grand total of $90. Considering future games will take advantage of the balance board technology it seems inline with the rest of thier costs.
