What's up with these new racing machines? Good? Bad? Don't care because the series sucks? Let me know!

Sounds like a good idea, I think it will be popular for some of the new gamers out there. But I won't be using them.

George Orwell once said,
"In a time of universal deceit, telling the truth is a revolutionary act."

We ask for truth all the time, but when that truth threatens to tear apart the fundamental beliefs of your world, can you still accept it?

From what I've read they are much faster than the regular carts and also have much tighter handling. So could be fun for really high speed racing.

Then again I haven't really played too much of the N64 and Cube versions so everything is new to me :D

According to Gameinformer's recent hands-on with the game (no, they didn't get a Wii wheel yet) they said that 50 cc is karts only, 100cc is bikes only, and 150 cc is either. Check the whole story out on Gameinformer.com, they mention the new tricks system as well as the different controller options, similar to SSBB.

hrmm....idk about that kart restriction based on what cc you are playing in...that may not go over too well with casual gamers who suddenly have restrictions on their options. Like what if i was only skilled enough to compete in 50cc, but i really wanted to try out a bike? I don't want to get annihiliated in a harder racing mode but bikes are a new addition to the series and they look fun.

Anyway out of all that, basically what im saying is they should have a trial run mode (kind of like time trial)

Well "Mario Kart and Bike" doesnt really roll off the tongue, does it?
It's like calling SSBB Super Smash Bros. With an Actual first-player Campaign- it's SSBWAFPC
