Not Really A Review

Alright, so Episode six is up and school is done for the summer. Still lots on the go, but hopefully more time to spend on the site.
Because the pressure of classes and exams are over I have also had more time to spend on the Wii. Sweet.
With that in mind I have had the chance to rent Medal of Honour: Vanguard.

First of all I would like to say how much fun the game is. The story is a little cliche and very pro US, but that is to be expected. Where the game makes up is that it has really fun and easy to pick up game play. After the first couple of missions I was sniping Nazis like a pro.

The Wiimote is quite intuitive, other than a few glitches like jumping reloading, but once you get used to it, the game is a blast.

The graphics are not bad. They look good for now, but I suspect the games that are on the way around Christmas time will blow it away.

The biggest drawback to the game is how short it is. I finished all the missions in around five hours over the course of a few days. I am not (yet) a hardcore gamer, and had to do a few levels over; I think a true gamer could have done the job in around three hours if he/she played it straight through. That is not much game.

I can not stress enough how much of a down point the size of the game becomes. With limited multi-player and no on-line play the game is for sure not much more than a renter. The only way I can see this game being worth a purchase is if you and a few friends plan on spending a lot of time in the multi-player levels. A LOT!

Other than the shortness of the game, it is a lot of fun, and should for sure be a renter on any Wii owner's list. Assuming you have a renting list. And a Wii.
Yeah.
That's all for now.
Watch the new episode. It is pretty good. I mean, I like it.
